About Greener Amberley

Greener Amberley (GA) was created to help facilitate an active and motivated community make further progress on climate and nature.

The group's focus areas range from nature, buildings and energy, and lifestyle, to adaptation, all building on community efforts to date.

GA engages with partners, such as South Downs National Park Authority, Octopus Energy, Woodland Trust and Weald to Waves. Most recently, GA has now become part of the Amberley Society to strengthen the local effort on sustainability. Projects for the year ahead will help with the restoration of the Amberley Wildbrooks and to ensure that nature is accorded a high priority in any future development of East Street Farm.

Christmas Event
Thursday, 18th December 6pm - 8.30pm
There was a great turnout for Greener Amberley's Christmas advent evening in the church hall! It was a fun, green, Christmassy event, where there was lots of information about our work during 2025 and what we have planned for next year. Participants enjoyed some tasty green treats and a locally produced festive drink!

Amberley Millennium Green
Greener Amberley is a great fit with Amberley Millennium Green's mission to balance the needs of community and nature in a peaceful environment that nurtures all. AMG's trustees were delighted to be able to showcase the diversity of fauna that recent surveys have found on the Green. Sloe gin, made for the Green's own blackthorn trees, was much in demand, as were our handmade wooden tree decorations and bundles of hazel poles for Amberley's green fingered gardeners.
