Save Our Sportsman

Latest news March 7th 2024

We are delighted to announce that The Sportsman will re-open at Easter with a weekend of events to celebrate this landmark step in the campaign to Save Our Sportsman.

We have a jam-packed Easter weekend of live music, classic car meets, coffee mornings and more. We will have a drinks-only offering inside the pub, staffed by volunteers from our community, and there will be street food vendors in the car park serving food you can eat in the pub or take home with you.

After that, we’ll be open seven days a week, with street food available most weekend evenings, and we hope to re-open the B&B rooms in May.

If you’d like to support the campaign financially, we still need your pledges, which can be made here https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/LGK8VBR Following advice and in response to questions, the minimum investment is now set at £500. We hope this will allow more people to join us. There will be an opportunity at a later date to contribute smaller amounts to the campaign. A huge thank you to those who have pledged already.

Please support the pub by coming along over the Easter weekend and beyond. Buy a pint or a coffee, buy a pizza in the car park, bring your friends and family, share our social media posts, and spread the word.
